DEOSAI JEEP ADVENTURE
MARCO POLO JEEP SAFARI



1 - DEOSAI JEEP ADVENTURE
LEVEL D:(15 days) The Deosai plains lie between the Indus River and the southern extension o the Himalayas range, whose most famous peak is Nanga Parbat (8125m). At an average height of 3800m, undulating, green, flower-filled meadows are surrounded by snow-capped peaks, and drive through these plains is soul-string experience. Freshwater lakes abound and make this seldom-disturbed area a haven for wildlife, including brown bear and markhor.
 The jeep ride from Skardu takes you through the Satpara valley over Ali Malik pass (4082m) to Kala Pani stream. From here hike over level ground to Deosai Lake (3865m). Then drive over Chachor pass (4267m), to Tarashing, which is the jump-off spot for treks to the Rupal face of Nanga Parbat. Explore the area, including possible hike to Chungpar glacier. Continue on to Rama Lake, and after spending a day hike in the area, jeep from Rama to Gilgit.

DAY 05: Hike to Deosai lake.
DAY 06: Jeep to Trashing.
DAY 07: Free day or day hikes around village.
DAY 08: Jeep to Rama lake.
DAY 09: Hike around Rama.
DAY 10: Jeep to Gilgit.
DAY 11: Drive to Karimabad.
DAY 12: At leisure.
DAY 13: Drive to Chilas.
DAY 14: Drive to Rawalpindi.
DAY 15: Destination flight.

2 - MARCO POLO JEEP SAFARI
LEVEL A: (15 days) This trip follows the route of Marco polo, and is undertaken in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Drive through the beautiful valleys of Punial, Ghizar, Mastuj, Chitral, Kalash, Dir, and Swat. Enroute, cross the Shandur (3720m), and Lowari passes (3200m). This journey offers astonishing contrasts: from stark, shale cliffs to lush green crop fields; from thunderous river to serene lake. After spending a night Gupis, arrive at Phander Lake, which is one of the most scenic places in this area. Here at leisure to fish for trout and visit the villages. Continue over Shandur pass with its two crystal clear lake and the world’s highest polo field, to Mastuj, an important village during the 19th century siege of Chitral. From Mastuj drive to Chitral for panoramic views of the Hindukush range, and its highest peak Tirich Mir (7708m). Drive on to Swat visiting Kalash, and crossing over Lowari pass before ending in this emerald valley, popularly known as the Switzerland of the East.

DAY 12: Drive to Peshawar.
DAY 13: At leisure.
DAY 14: Drive to Rawalpindi.
