THE TRIBES HINDUKUSH

TIRICHMIR / ZANI AN PASS
LEVEL B:(15 days) The Tirich valley is populated with several small villages separated by groves of apricot. The valley is very fertile and verdant especially in late summer. After driving to Uthul, trek across Zani Pan (3886m) to Shagrom village. At the crest of Zani pass, there are excellent views of the Hindu Kush range, and the color contrasts of the two are readily discernable. Trekking through the villages of Atak and Bandak one will at Shogor at the foot of the Tirich glacier. Continue on the furthest most point o the trek. The day's excursion offers fantastic views of Tirich Mir (7403m) and the heavily crevassed upper Tirich glacier. Return in tow days by the same rout to Shagrom. From where you drive back to Chitral.

DAY 2: Arrive at Islamabad.
DAY 3: Drive to Peshawar.
DAY 4: Fly to Chitral.
DAY 5: Jeep to Uthul.
DAY 6: Trek over Zani Pass.
DAY 7: Continue to Shagrom
DAY 8: Trek to Shogor Biasum.
DAY 9: Free day to explore around.
DAY 10: Return to Shagrom.
DAY 11: Drive back to Chitral by jeep.
DAY 12: Kalash valley excursion.
DAY 13: Drive to Saidu Sharif.
DAY 14: Drive to Rawalpindi.
DAY 15: Destination flight.
